Autonomous Fire Suppression Systems

Most fire protection still waits for a person: someone to hear the alarm, find the fire and pick up an extinguisher. Autonomous fire suppression closes that gap. Every Fire Knight system detects a fire, confirms it, suppresses it at the source and alerts your team, without anyone present. One principle runs across homes, offices, panel rooms, vehicles, machinery and remote outdoor sites across India.

The Challenge

Fire Spreads in Minutes While Safety Measures Lag Behind

Indian buildings are planned around the National Building Code of India 2016, Part 4, Fire and Life Safety, and detection and alarm systems are designed, installed and maintained under IS 2189. These provisions are essential. But an alarm only warns. It still needs someone awake, nearby, trained and willing to act. At night, on a holiday, inside a locked panel or on a moving truck, that person is often missing.

The window is short. The UL Fire Safety Research Institute found that rooms with modern synthetic furnishings reached flashover in roughly three to five minutes, against more than thirty minutes for natural furnishings. Flashover is the point where everything in a room ignites at once. A system that acts before that point, on its own, changes what the fire service finds when it arrives.

Why Manual Response Fails

Six Reasons Help Arrives Too Late

These gaps appear in every sector, from a flat in Pune to a mine in Jharkhand.

Nobody Is There

Homes are empty during work hours, shops close at night and plant rooms are visited once a shift. Many fires start when no one is close enough to notice.

Fire Outpaces People

Synthetic materials burn fast. By the time an alarm is heard, a person responds and an extinguisher is found, a small fire may already have filled the room.

Hidden Spaces

Electrical panels, battery cabinets, engine bays and false ceilings hide the first flames. By the time smoke escapes, the fire is well established inside.

Distance And Traffic

Congested city roads, industrial estates on the outskirts and remote sites all lengthen the time before a fire tender can reach the fire.

Alarms Get Ignored

Where nuisance alarms are common, people learn to wait and see. A real fire can be treated as another false alarm until it is too late.

Moving Assets

A driver focused on the road or an operator in a haul truck cab may not see a fire starting behind them until it is serious.

One Platform: Built To Act Without Waiting

Every system in The Fire Knight range follows the same design. Sensors matched to the hazard watch continuously. The system confirms a fire before it acts. A suppression agent is released at or near the source, and people are informed. What changes from product to product is the environment it is built for: an indoor room, a sealed enclosure, open ground, a vehicle or a machine. Our room, enclosure and outdoor systems use water based, non toxic agents, and all of them are fire suppression aids that support the protection your building, fleet or site already needs.

Key Benefits

Action In The First Minutes

Suppression starts at the source while a fire is still small, whether or not anyone is on site.

Confirmation Before Discharge

Multiple sensing methods reduce the chance that a single stray signal causes an unwanted release.

People Stay Informed

Alerts and status information reach the right people, so the fire service can be called with facts.

How It Works

From Detection to Suppression — Automatically

Detection

Each product uses sensing matched to its hazard: flame and gas sensing indoors, infrared outdoors, zone sensing in vehicles and linear heat cable along machinery.

Confirmation

The system checks that a real fire is present before it acts. Several products capture a camera image just before activation, so you can see what triggered it.

Suppression

The suppression agent is released at or near the fire, cooling it and knocking it down before it spreads to the rest of the room, enclosure, vehicle or site.

Alert

Depending on the product, people are told by app, SMS, email, remote monitoring or an audible alarm, so they can check the scene and call the fire service.

Why Choose Us

What Makes The Fire Knight Different

We are not a traditional fire extinguisher company. We engineer autonomous suppression systems, a fundamentally different category of fire protection technology.

Autonomous By Design

Detection, confirmation, suppression and alerting are built into one system rather than assembled from separate parts that each depend on a person.

Sensing Matched To The Hazard

Flame, rate of rise heat, gas, infrared and linear heat sensing are chosen for the space. A kitchen fire, a panel fault and a grass fire look very different.

Non Toxic Agents

Our room, enclosure and outdoor systems use water based, non toxic agents, suited to homes, workplaces, farms and forest edges where people and animals live.

International Patent Application

Our technology is protected under International Patent Application No. PCT/AU2023/050224, filed across Australia, India, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Europe.

Engineered To Recognised Standards

Engineered to ASME BPVC VIII Div.1, EN 13445, PD 5500, NATA, CE and ISO 9001 standards. Compliance documentation is available for regulatory submissions, insurance purposes and procurement approvals.

Connected, Not Just Automatic

IoT enabled alerts, remote monitoring and fleet integration through an API mean an activation becomes information people can use, not a silent event.

Choosing A System

The Main Types Of Automatic Fire Protection

Automatic does not always mean autonomous. Here is what each common approach does on its own and what it still depends on.

Automatic Detection And Alarm

Detectors and panels, described internationally in the ISO 7240 series and in India by IS 2189, sense a fire and sound a warning automatically. They save lives by getting people out, but they do not act on the fire itself.

Sprinkler Systems

Heat activated heads release water automatically, described in the ISO 6182 series. Highly effective across whole buildings, but they depend on pumps, a water tank, pipework and power.

Keeping It Ready

What Keeps Autonomous Protection Reliable

Autonomous does not mean unattended forever. These habits keep every system ready to act.

Keep Sensors Clear

Dust, grease, paint, new shelving or overgrown plants can block a sensor's view. Check after any fitout, repair or change of season.

Check Power Sources

Confirm mains supply, battery backup and, for outdoor units, clean solar panels. Power cuts and summer dust are the usual culprits.

Inspect Agent And Tanks

Check levels, pressure indicators where fitted, and the condition of tanks, pipes and nozzles, especially on vehicles and machinery exposed to vibration.

Test Alerts And Contacts

Make sure alerts reach current phone numbers and email addresses. Update them whenever staff, drivers or caretakers change.

Service Required Systems

Keep alarms, sprinklers, hydrants and extinguishers serviced on the schedule set by your fire consultant. Autonomous units work best as one layer among several.

Brief Your People

Show staff, residents and drivers what the unit does, what an alert looks like and that they must still leave and call the fire service.

FAQ

Does autonomous fire suppression replace sprinklers, alarms or extinguishers?

No. Our systems are fire suppression aids that act in the first minutes where they are installed. Detection, alarm, sprinkler, hydrant and extinguisher provisions required for your building still apply, and you should always call the fire service when a fire occurs.

A fire NOC is issued by the state fire service against the building and its approved fire safety measures, not against a product. Our systems can support your fire safety plan, and we provide compliance documentation, but they do not by themselves secure an approval.

It depends on which products you need, how many units, tank size, installation access, and connectivity for alerts or fleet integration. We quote after a site assessment so the system matches your real risk.

Yes, where it matters. The Comodo and The Ranger include manual release, and The Guardian allows a pre emptive operator release remotely. Alerts keep people informed so they stay in charge of the response.
