Born from the World's Worst Wildfire Season

We built The Fire Knight because we watched the world burn and knew it could be stopped earlier. Today, our autonomous fire detection and suppression systems protect India’s most critical infrastructure from remote power grids to city apartments.

Our Origin

We watched 10 million hectares burn and knew that detection alone was never going to be enough.

The 2019–20 Australian Black Summer bushfires were the defining moment. In a single season, 33 human lives were lost. An estimated one billion animals perished. Over 10 million hectares of land an area larger than South Korea was destroyed. The fires burned for months. The world watched. And the existing fire systems alarms, sprinklers, manually operated suppression proved catastrophically inadequate for the scale and speed of what was happening in remote and high-risk environments.

Guided by this reality, founder and CEO Bill Kavvadas assembled a global team of engineers, fire safety professionals, and technology designers with one mandate: build a system that detects a fire in seconds, responds autonomously, and works where people cannot.

The result was The Fire Knight Collection five autonomous fire detection and suppression systems, now protected under International Patent PCT/AU2023/050224, designed for every environment where fire risk is real and traditional systems fall short.

Our Founder

"I am enormously thrilled to unveil The Fire Knight to the world. This technology exists because we refused to accept that the only answer to a wildfire is to wait for it to stop."

Vasilios “Bill” Kavvadas is the founder and CEO of The Fire Knight, based in Brisbane, Australia. His vision was shaped by the catastrophic 2019–20 bushfire season, a moment that made clear that the world needed a fundamentally different approach to fire detection and suppression in outdoor, remote, and high-risk environments.

Bill brought together a global team of engineers, fire protection specialists, and technology professionals to design a product collection that goes beyond traditional detection, building systems that detect, alert, and actively suppress fire autonomously, without requiring human presence at the site.

Under his leadership, The Fire Knight has been recognised by three international fire safety publications, secured an international patent, and launched into markets across Australia, India, the UK, USA, Canada, and Europe.

Our Purpose

Mission & Vision

Everything we build, every product we engineer, every market we enter, it all flows from two simple beliefs about fire safety and the future.

Protect Lives, Property & the Environment

We deliver autonomous fire detection and suppression systems that respond faster than any human can — protecting what matters most before a spark becomes a catastrophe. Our systems are built for the environments traditional fire protection has always ignored: remote, outdoor, vehicular, and high-risk.

A World Where Fire Never Gets the Upper Hand

We believe fire protection should be intelligent, autonomous, and universally accessible — from a telecom tower in Rajasthan to a remote plantation in Karnataka, from a fleet truck in Delhi to a heritage building in Mumbai. The Fire Knight exists to close the gap between where fire suppression technology is today and where it needs to be to protect our world.
Why Choose Us

What Sets The Fire Knight Apart

We are not a traditional fire extinguisher company. We engineer autonomous suppression systems — a fundamentally different category of fire protection technology.

Internationally Patented Technology

All Fire Knight systems are protected under International Patent Application No. PCT/AU2023/050224 — filed across Australia, India, UK, USA, Canada, and Europe. This is not off-the-shelf technology; it is original, protected engineering.

Fully Autonomous Operation

Our systems detect and respond without human activation. Critical for remote telecom towers, unmanned substations, farms, and any location where a person may not be present when fire strikes. The system is always on duty.

Multi-Sensor Intelligence

Beyond basic smoke and heat — our systems use infrared flame detection, VOC sensing, CO/CO₂/methane monitoring, and rate-of-rise temperature analysis. Multi-sensor confirmation eliminates false alarms and ensures genuine threats are never missed.

Eco-Safe Suppressants

All suppression uses water-based, non-toxic, biodegradable retardants. Safe for crops, wildlife, soil, and water bodies. The Guardian leaves a 14-day ground treatment that continues to protect long after the initial event. No harmful chemicals. Ever.

Engineered for India

The Fire Knight systems are designed and tested for Indian environmental conditions — extreme heat, monsoon weather, remote terrain, and the specific fire risks facing Indian power, telecom, agricultural, and industrial infrastructure. Not a global product force-fitted to India — genuinely India-ready.

International Standards Compliance

Engineered to ASME BPVC VIII Div.1, EN 13445, PD 5500, NATA, CE, and ISO 9001 standards. Full compliance documentation available for regulatory submissions, insurance purposes, and procurement approvals across Indian government and corporate environments.

Our Reach

Global Technology, India-First Commitment

The Fire Knight was developed and patented in Australia and is now deployed across six international markets. For India, we are not simply exporting a product — we have committed to building a local presence with systems, support, and distribution networks designed specifically for Indian infrastructure and operating environments.

Why India is Our Priority Market

Compliance

Built to International Standards

The Fire Knight Collection is engineered to comply with the world’s most rigorous fire safety and pressure vessel standards — giving procurement teams, facilities managers, and regulatory bodies the assurance they need.

Full compliance documentation, test reports, and technical specifications are available on request for procurement, insurance, and regulatory submissions.

Disclaimer

The Fire Knight systems are designed as fire suppression aids and are not classified as fire extinguishers. These systems assist in detection, alerting, and suppression to minimise damage and provide additional response time. They may not fully extinguish all fire types or scenarios. Users should always comply with applicable Indian fire safety regulations and ensure appropriate primary fire protection is in place.
